Aqualens in the Winter
As the seasons shift and temperatures drop, the Aqualens Sphere Fountain takes on an entirely new personality. While designed for year-round enjoyment, the fountain reveals a striking, sculptural beauty in winter—especially when frost and icicles form on the acrylic sphere. The shimmering surface becomes a canvas for nature itself, reflecting the crisp light of the season in magical ways.
The Aqualens Sphere Fountain can tolerate mild freezing temperatures without issue. Many of our clients love capturing photos of their fountains dusted with frost or adorned with delicate icicles—it’s a rare transformation that highlights the versatility of the design.
That said, when prolonged sub-zero temperatures are in the forecast, we recommend taking a few precautions. Turn off the fountain, drain the water, and remove the acrylic sphere for indoor storage until the weather warms. This simple step will help preserve the clarity and integrity of your fountain for years to come.
